Entering his ninth season as the radio play-by-play voice of the New Jersey Devils; named to post August 1, 2006...Previously served as a pre-and post-game host for FOX Sports Net New York’s Devils’ television coverage (1997-2006)...Has also served as the television play-by-play announcer for selected Devils’ games...Hosts podcasts and contributes content to and in VERSUS’ coverage of 2011 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships...Pre- and post-game host for New York Mets games, as well as play-by-play announcer for selected games over both MSG Network and FSN NY (1996-2005)...Was part of the production team that won a New York Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Programming for Mets on Deck during the 1998- 99 season...Co-hosted re-launch of Kiner’s Korner on FSN NY (1999)...Served as anchor and host for NBA TV on numerous flagship programs, including NBA TV Daily and The Insiders (2006- 08)...Covered the NBA draft and WNBA All-Star Game festivities prior to the network’s move to Atlanta...Began his SportsChannel New York/FSN career in 1989 as announcer/reporter for Hofstra University’s football and lacrosse telecasts...Hosted the New Jersey Nets pre- and post-game shows, as well as a limited number of NY Islanders games...Trackside reporter for Summer Racing at Yonkers Raceway (1993-95)...Play- by-play announcer for the New Jersey Rockin’ Rollers professional roller hockey league team and New Jersey Red Dogs of the Arena Football League...Worked as sports anchor at 1010 WINS-AM Radio...Began his broadcasting career as a news reporter at WCTC-AM in New Brunswick, NJ...Was sports director at Suburban Cablevision in New Jersey...The network received six national CableACE Awards, including three for Overall Sports Coverage during his 12 years as sports director...Participates in the Devils/MSG Plus School Assembly Program...Graduate of Seton Hall University, with a B.S. degree in marketing...Matt and his wife, Maggie, reside in Westfield, NJ, and are the proud parents of three sons: Matthew, Conor and Liam.
